About the Journal

The International Journal of Computing Sciences and Technology Studies (IJCSTS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality original research across computing sciences and related technologies. The journal welcomes theoretical, methodological, and applied studies that advance knowledge, develop new approaches, and contribute to the practical use of computing and digital technologies. IJCSTS follows established standards of scholarly publishing and adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Code of Conduct.

Aims and Scope

IJCSTS is a computing and technology journal. It welcomes theoretical, empirical, methodological, applied, and review contributions that make a clear, demonstrable contribution to computing knowledge, technological development, or practice. Indicative — not exhaustive — subject areas include:

Software engineering and software systems

Information technology and information systems

Data science, data analytics, and computational methods

Cybersecurity, information security, and privacy

Computer networks, distributed systems, and cloud computing

Submissions are welcomed from authors worldwide. The journal particularly encourages research addressing challenges relevant to Sub-Saharan Africa and other developing regions, without restricting eligibility on the basis of author nationality, institutional affiliation, or geographic focus.

Publication Frequency and Fees

IJCSTS publishes on a continuous basis with articles compiled into quarterly issues. All articles submitted on or before December 31, 2027, will be eligible for a 100% waiver of Article Processing Charges (APCs). No fees are charged at the submission or review stage.

The journal is governed by an Editor-in-Chief, supported by an Editorial Board of subject-area experts drawn from national and international institutions, and an Advisory Board providing strategic oversight.
