IJNAL is a peer-reviewed Diamond Open Access journal published online by the Faculty of Agriculture, Hormuud University, Mogadishu, Somalia. It may be listed by libraries and research institutions as a freely accessible electronic journal in agricultural and livestock sciences.

Open Access — No Subscription Required

All IJNAL content is available without subscription fees, paywalls, or author publication charges. This model supports broad access to research relevant to agriculture, livestock, food systems, and rural development.

Licensing

Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Libraries and their users may read, download, distribute, reproduce, and reuse articles provided appropriate attribution is given.

Editorial Quality and Publishing System

IJNAL uses double-blind peer review, pre-review plagiarism screening, and publication-ethics standards aligned with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal is hosted on Open Journal Systems (OJS), with institutional technical support from Hormuud University.

Preservation and Discoverability

IJNAL plans to use the PKP Preservation Network for decentralised archiving and, following ISSN assignment, to pursue additional preservation services including CLOCKSS, LOCKSS, and Portico. The journal also plans to assign Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through CrossRef and pursue discoverability through Google Scholar, PKP Index, ROAD, DOAJ, AGRIS, CABI Abstracts, Scopus, and Web of Science in phases as eligibility requirements are met.
